Sweden’s finest.

At one stage the largest in Europe, the development of Stappel shows what happens when a city believes in providing top-notch facilities for the people. It was developed on a former slipway in the old shipyards around the defunct port of Malmo, which has since seen huge residential and commercial development, bringing life and leisure to a previously quiet part of the city. The skatepark itself acts as a huge focal point and village square for the new locals and the rest of the city dwellers. It has a massive range of bowls, hips and transitions of all sizes.

The darker, plaza area has a large selection of blocks, curbs and manny pads, while the lighter transitioned bowl area sees regular action from locals and visitors alike.

The city of Malmo really have got behind this facility – they regularly stage school sports lessons and arts events here, promote it as a high end sports amenity and tourist attraction in its own right which is a net contributor to the local economy.
